About the Philip B. Bass Memorial Scholarship

After Philip's tragic passing, it was so important to our family to honor his life by giving back. Philip was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many - and many of his connections were rooted in the University of Maryland community. It wasn't a UMD game day without a pre-game visit to Bentley's with Philip! The Philip B. Bass Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Intercollegiate Athletics provides merit-based scholarships for undergraduate student-athletes in the Robert H. Smith School of Business.
